Chronicler
Getting started

Cloud quick start

Sign in to the hosted service and ask your first question.

The hosted service. We run the server; you sign in and start working.

Open Chronicler

Either open app.chroniclerlm.com in a browser, or launch the installed app.

Make sure you're in Cloud mode

A freshly installed app already points at Cloud. If you've used a self-hosted server before, switch back in Settings → Connection → Cloud and apply — the app signs you out and returns to the login screen, because Cloud and self-hosted accounts are separate.

Create your account

Choose Sign up, enter your name, email and a password, and confirm your email address if prompted.

Upload a document

Go to Documents → Upload and drop in a PDF, Word file, spreadsheet or image. Processing takes from a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on length, and scanned pages take longer because they're read with OCR. The document shows as Ready when it can be used.

Ask something

Open Chat, type a question, and send. See Your first chat for scoping a conversation to particular documents and reading the citations.

What runs where

On Cloud, your documents are stored on our servers and answers are generated by a remote model. If that isn't acceptable for your documents, run Chronicler yourself instead — same app, see Self-hosting.
